Meet Neko 🐶❣️
She was rescued from the 7/15/19 Slaughter Truck emergency rescue with 27 other dogs. Piled on top of each other, some still had their collars on. Neko is one of the lucky survivors as some didn’t survive the stress, severe heart worm, and deplorable physical condition. Dogs were panting in distress and our team tried to keep them hydrated while negotiating their release with the help of the local officials. Cries of the other dogs crushed underneath each other (as they were crammed into the cage in unnatural positions) were painful to hear 😭
Once she was in our care, she was fully examined by our vet. As expected, she was heart worm positive and malnourished. From day one, she started to smile, thrived being free, cared for and loved. Now, she is deeply loved by her new mom living a wonderful life in Florida 🙏💖
Our rescue partner, In Defense of Animals, responded to our emergency plea in saving the 28 dogs and their initial medical exams. Many have been adopted but we still have some in our training school with trauma. Please help us cover the expenses of their rehabilitation to give them hope of one day having a forever home 🙏🙏
