This is the sad story of a stray cat in my neighborhood. the names of the people have been changed slightly. My friend, Kayly, found a stray cat in our neighborhood and her family adopted it and called it Neko. they had neko for about 1 month. then Neko got fleas. Kayly tried fleas baths and flea collars but they didn’t think to take Neko the the vet to get a prescription or get something over the counter to help treat her. so the kicked Neko out on the cold street in the middle of fall. so about 1 week after they kicked Neko out, i saw Neko at my other friend’s, Katelyn, house. Katelyn tell’s me Neko has fleas but i petted her anyway. i run to my house to get a peice of ham to feed her. after she ate like hal and quit, i go home but she followed me so i feed her the other half. for 2 days after that she came to my door every day but the 3rd, 4th, and 5th day i couldn’t find her. i was going to have her be the first cat i ever owned. i go over to kayly’s house to talk and Neko’s there eating some food. and Kayly wouldnt let her follow me home. i was heart-broken because i was taking care of it when they abandoned her. they were not going to take her back. about 5 days after that i talk to Katelyn and she tells me Neko got hit by a car. all i could do was stare at her in disbelif. i brock down crying. that night my mom tries comforting me saying it might have been a cat that looked like Neko so that made me very hopeful. so the next day, halloween, i ask her where the cat had been hit. she points north of her house,on the main road of our trailor park, at the textile rd. so i go to make sure it’s not Neko but… i couldn’t believe it. if anything i just wish Neko would have died of natural causes instead of being murdered by a piece of machinary. and no one seems to be trying to help me thourgh this so i’m trying to comfort myself by showing my love in this tribute.
